- For the third time, newcomer all female team won the entire race. The first two are by Michelle & Ivy in Season 2 and Jia Sheen & Pei Lyn in Season 3
- Jeremy is the 3rd to person to be mildly injured due to the race. 1st was Michelle (fever) from Season 2 and 2nd was Eng Khim (cramp leg and finger bled) from Season 5
- For the second time, a specific mode of transportation is needed to the pit stop (the transparent lift to the pit stop). The first time was in Season 4.
- This race is the first race to have the element Speedbumb and U-Turn
- Speedbumb is first activated by Phoebe & Sayaka
- U-Turn is first activated by Jeremy & Jo Ann to Sheng Ling & Hon Sang
- In the final roadblock, no teams successfully completed it
- Sheng Ling & Hong Sang are the second team ever to be summon to the final pit stop without completing the race. First was Natalie & Jo Ann in Season 1. In Season 1, team Eng Khim & Wan Jun also did not complete the final leg but although they were summoned to the pit stop, they went home instead, therefore not considered as being check in.
- Sheng Ling & Hon Sang are the first team ever to find a hidden riddle clue just by sheer luck
- This is the first ever season to have a poll before the race
- This is the first race where winner of a leg won themselves one extra SOS call (called for help, given initially 3 per team)
- Matthew & Yao Chern is the first team to used up all 3 of their SOS in one leg
- Jeremy & Jo Ann and Phoebe & Sayaka are the first two teams to have a minor argument in order to disrupt each other detour tasks
- This race is considered as the hardest season ever due to its fairly difficult riddled clues where most teams decided to use SOS and the difficult tasks (final roadblock which no one completed, 'Up & Down' detour is the 2nd most exhausting task ever and etc)
